About Michael O'Gorman

Michael O'Gorman is a tireless advocate for sustainable agriculture, with a focus on empowering farmers through education and practical resources. He co-founded the California Institute of Sustainable Agriculture and has played a pivotal role in developing programs that address the needs of underserved communities, including veterans and socially disadvantaged farmers.


Michael has been instrumental in establishing partnerships with various institutions, including Kentucky State University, an 1890 Land Grant Institution. Through this collaboration, Michael and his team aim to educate farmers on organic tomato production, providing hands-on instruction and developing instructional materials that are accessible to all. His approach emphasizes practical experience, ensuring that farmers not only learn the theory but can apply their knowledge in real-world settings.



With a commitment to transparency and community involvement, Michael believes in the principles of collective action and shared success.
