Where We Grow, Who We Feed
The 2020 Farmers Co-Op works with growers across Virginia, Maryland, Louisiana, South Carolina, Georgia, and other southeastern states to bring local produce directly into your school food system.
We prioritize partnerships with Title I schools, HBCUs, early childhood centers, and school nutrition champions looking to create change from the lunch tray up.

Why Farm to School?
Farm to School is more than a meal program—it’s a movement.
By sourcing local food for school meals, cafeterias, and after-school programs, you’re:

Providing Healthier Options
Fresh, flavorful fruits and vegetables grown nearby = happier, healthier kids.

Keeping Dollars Local
Strengthen rural and urban economies by purchasing from farmers within your region.

Educating Future Leaders
Students learn where food comes from, how it’s grown, and why local matters—through farm visits, school gardens, and classroom curriculum.

Reducing Food Miles & Carbon Footprint
Support environmental sustainability through shorter supply chains and seasonal eating.

Our Mission in Every Bite
We believe that children deserve fresh food, that farmers deserve fair access to institutional markets, and that communities thrive when we invest in one another.
Join us in growing a Farm to School network that reflects our values of: equity, education, and good, quality food for our children.
